QuestionI just hooked everything up to my LG 4.1 and I am hearing a constant static/crummy noise (kind of like a constant grasshopper) coming from the rear speakers. Any suggestions on fixing it?

- Answer Are they wireless? Did you hook up the ferrite core on the wires? It sounds like interference coming from some device. How close is your router to the components? Try shutting off any devices you are not using and move them to a distance away from the speakers/ receiver. Shut off a device at a time and see if it makes a difference to single out which one it might be.

QuestionIs there a required position for the rear speaker transmitter? Due to room and furniture layout, I would like to put it on a shelf of the entertainment unit. As a result, the transmitter will be below the sound bar and not in line of site.

- Answer The length of the speaker wires for the LG - Powered Wireless Rear Channel Speakers (Pair) - works with select LG soundbars and the length of its power cord will determine where you can place the kit. The unit use Bluetooth to pair to a compatible LG Soundbar. Both devices are classified as Class II Bluetooth devices so they will have a range of 10 m (33 feet). You will want to avoid metallic objects like a metallic coffee table, a phone or other device that operates in the same frequency that the speakers work in like a microwave oven or router that will interfere with the Bluetooth signal...^IFV

QuestionI recently purchased the LG SK10Y soundbar and would like to add these surround speakers to my system. My question is, do these speakers need power ? 110v A/C power or do they operate on the "wireless" signal solely ?? Thanks

- Answer These are designed to be rear L and R surround speakers. They must be HARD WIRED to the Wireless plugin Reciever, getting a Bluetooth signal from another base audio source. It works great with my Atmos Soundbar.

Currently, the support page does not show any firmware updates for 2019 but you can contact our Support Center at (800) 243-0000 to inquire if there are any recent updates...^IFV

If a firmware update is available, there would be a link that you can click on to download and install the firmware update or download it to a thumb drive then download it to the Soundbar from the thumb drive. - Answer Most stands have universal brackets but may not have the correct screws. I used the Sonos stand but had to get metric screws to mount them.

- Answer The LG 4.1 ch High Resolution Audio Sound Bar, Model # SJ8 is not compatible with the LG 2.0 ch Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, Model # SPK8-S. It does not have the necessary hardware and cannot be upgrade for compatibility with a firmware update. Page 31 of your owner's manual has explicit instructions about how you can add additional Music Flow Speakers like the LG Music Flow H3 Wireless Speaker, Model # NP8340...^IFV

- Answer Make sure you have both on the same wireless stream. Won’t work if you do not do this Otherwise everything was easy. Recognize the receiver right away. Have not lost any connection yet. Just still cannot figure out how to fine tune everything with the lg app. Doesn’t want to work on the Apple products iso

- Answer It's a known issue and LG will not say whether they will push out and update to fix it. The lack of volume is a known issue as well
