• No they don't make TV's today without apps. What was removed this year was the 3D technology. This was replaced with better wifi capabilities and HDR. You can turn the apps off you do not need to use them. Some apps are needed to adjust TV settings.

• The Roku 4 is garbage. Use the apps in the LG and I guarantee you will see why with your own eyes as to why I called your Roku 4 garbage...because it is, compared to the level of HDR and Dolby vision support on LG apps. Trust me. Anyone reading this...you need nothing for streaming besides the tv. I have yet to use a streaming box that is as fast, easy, and fully supported as the LG's own internal apps.
