This TV has a webOS platform. Our webOS platform offers over 600 apps including streaming content and games - including over 180 free streaming channels via the LG Channels. Unit does have an LG store to download more apps. Tv has a web browser to use internet.

I cannot answer the question about the apps, but as for the sound is quite good .I personally have a Vizio sound bar system and the TV will either work with and external source or the external by itself.
I would recommend:
