“How do I connect the audio to an older stereo that has RCA red and white input connection”

Sorry to say, there is a mini-jack for headphones, and a optical digital audio output for your stereo. I got lucky -- my stereo was just young enough to have an optical input. I've not seen a converter for the optical-to-RCA possibility, but maybe you can scare one up.

You should be able to use the included adapter with the TV. I believe it's a 3.5mm to RCA adapter. Plug that into the "Audio H/P" out port (Headphone) and use the Red/White connectors there, ignoring the yellow. I would imagine you would then change the TV menu "Sound Out" option to "Wired Headphones" to hear the audio.

The only audio output on the LG C9 77 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (76.7'' Diag), Model # OLED77C9PUB is the Optical Digital Audio Output. To connect that to older Analog Stereo RCA Audio Inputs, you will need to purchase a Digital/Analog Converter that will allow you to make the necessary connections using the appropriate cables.
