Mine does this too. The tv does not have localized dimming so although it is a nano cell i believe it will still have the edge bleed you refer to and that it is normal. It is the entry nano cell is this is likely one of the trade offs.

I have run the tv with below 30% brightness and on any bright white scenes you can see the insufferable backlight grid. Big annoyance when watching football games.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think this model is Edge and not Direct lit, i have talked to LG support and it seems like they don't know either, one of them says direct and another one says edge. So the problem you see is probably caused by edge lit
