“Will it play dvd and blueray on a surface pro 4 ? and do i need to add software to use it ?”

• The LG unit mentioned will play and record CDs and DVDs but will not do Blueray. I am using a Win10 laptop and it connected right out the box to a standard USB port without any additional software.

• Only DVDs. They sell another model that plays bluray from LG
