If your Samsung hdtv only uses Hdmi connections, your options are limited to DVD players with Hdmi connectivity, so look for this Lg model when ON SALE

Some TVs with only hdmi inputs are lacking upconversion circuits thankfully others like Sony , lg and others realized that will be a big mistake because buyers like many options like component and composite av inputs capable of using al models of DVD/ blu rays and even VCRs and that's a big reason to buy a new LG TV since most buyers are smart
