Yes, u do not need internet to watch dvds.

I bought the LG DVD player because it does not automatically connect to a smart TV like most other modern players do. I use it to play music while the TV is on, through a receiver that is part of a home entertainment system. In any event you do not need internet to connect this player with a TV. It is also very inexpensive which is an added bonus. LG DP132 DVD PLAYER

Yes, the DP132 does not require an internet connection to play DVD's. It is not a smart DVD player. ^CP

Yes you can. The DVD or TV does not have to connected to the internet. The only connection needed is from the TV to the DVD via HDMI cable, modern TV or not. It is good enough to watch DVDs, not Blue ray or 4Ks just DVDs.
