Ive bought all my phones through best buy instead of verizon once I realized the only difference was best buy was cheaper. I still have the payment plan through verizon, nothing else is different, even the phones are the same. My last LG went into bootloop mode (warranty issue) and I called verizon and they took care of it even though it was bought through best buy. Hope this helps.

Verizon is a supported carrier with Best Buy and there is an Activate Today and Activate Later option on the product page for the LG - G8 ThinQ - Aurora Black (Verizon), Model # LM-G820UMB. Activate later still gives you the opportunity to activate the device on Verizon through Best Buy but doesn't include the added discount at checkout...^IFV
