You can listen to all smart features through your device via Bluetooth or wi-fi you do not have to connect anything to the bar itself but if you want to listen to the TV you need a hdmi or s cable connected.

The easiest way to do this is to download the music flow app and follow the steps. Then you have two options. You can add the service you want inside the music flow app and run it from there or you can Google Cast it over wifi once it's up and running.
