“My phone pairs with this soundbar but it will not connect to it. My girlfriends phone pairs and connects fine though, I don't understand. My phone connects to every Bluetooth device but this soundbar. Any suggestions? I've already updated the firmware.”

One of the first things to try would be to forget the soundbar from your phone's bluetooth profile list. Once forgotten try to reconnect. You can also clear the cache within your phone.
