“I just purchased this soundbar yesterday and when I hooked it up to my television it sounds nothing like the one in the store. I used the optical cable to connect it to my television. Wondering if I am doing something wrong.”

I used an HDMI cable. Excellent results. But I doubt the cable would improve the sound. An LG tv?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure you have it set to the proper setting on your TV set. Usually you go to options and under sound there will be an option on where the sound is played. By default it's the tv speaker but it should have an optical out option. From there you should find different options you can tinker with and alter to make it sound the way you want.
