• Yes, you'll need about 3/4" more, from what I found. Fully open, it's about half an inch more, but closer to 3/4" at one point during the swing open. I rarely open mine more than a third of the way open, just because of the awkward layout of my kitchen. The whole front acts as the door, so it has a very wide swing.
