“I am in the process of replacing my 30+ year old Kenmore microwave and am a little confused by frequent reference to 30 sec controls! Can the time only be set in 30 sec increments or can it be set to any time such as 15, 20 45 52 seconds etc?”

You set the timer by 30 sec increments.

It can go in 10 second increments when the door is closed by using the slider on the door of the microwave.

It can be set at 15,20 or 30 se conds more.

If within 0-3 minutes the time increases or decreases in 10-second increments. If within 3-20 minutes the time increases or decreases in 30-second increments. If within 20-90 minutes, the time increases or decreases in 1-minute increments. While the microwave is cooking, the remaining time increases or decreases in 10-second increments. ^CP
