The timer countdown for the LG 0.9 cu. ft. NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean® shows on the display...^IFV

Yes, you see the remaining time through the door. I had read some reviews that said that you have to use the controls inside the door, but there are also controls on the outside of the door. Thawing and power options are inside the door, but if you want to use 100% power, you can do that from the outside. There is a slider control for the amount of time. This is more information than you asked about, but they are things I would have wanted to know. I was a little concerned about the controls, but like the microwave and find it convenient to use.
