“I have a location with adequate 4”+ clearances around the unit. How can I secure it so it doesn’t move during travel? Are there safe places to drill 4 sheet metal screws in the bottom? Other ways to secure?”

There's air between the bottom and the surface it sits on. If I had to anchor it, I'd fasten cups for the feet to the shelf (so it can't slide around) and then a tie down strap from side to side over the top. If the strap is not stretchy, it can be just lightly snug. It the tiedown is too tight, it might affect how the door seals in microwaves.
