Honestly I think all Microwaves have this disclaimer and you might be better off using a stove or a fire if this bothers you. I do not think this is a product specific issue.

A:AnswerYes, a standard 10-inch plate will fit, which is why I bought this microwave. But eventually they catch fire, as mine did and my friend’s did. Search “fire” in reviews before buying. LG customer service was disappointing to say the least.
