“Can the kitchen timer go at the same time as when you are heating something?”

• Yes, it works on mine. It has a different "tune" that plays when the timer is done (different from when the microwave has finished cooking). Both can run simultaneously on mine; I've done it with the timer having less time than the cooking and it does still go off and announce the timer is done.

• Yes, but you must start it before you start cooking, as you cannot access the control once the door is closed.
