“Bought the LG 2.0 Family Size Microwave in Black Stainless Steel. It's advertised as fingerprint-proof, but when we touch the buttons to set cook time, our fingerprints show. Is there a clear film we're supposed to peel off? Anyone else with this problem?”

Our unit has the same issue. There's no film that I saw to remove.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The human body has a natural oil, and that's how we all leave fingerprints...we can't stop it, unless you wear gloves...just take a soapy dish rag and wipe it down, and than your dish towel and dry it off...you'll be fine...
