• It is a self-contained unit, with its own plumbing and power cord. It is the same dimensions as the standard LG sheet metal pedestal. Where you could run into an issue is that the other brand does not have the same "engagement" points as the LG. Functionally, it should be an issue--the trick is in the mechanical engagement.

• Compare the footprint of your current washer to the size of the pedestal. If your washer is smaller, then all you do is stack it on top and figure a way to make a sturdy connection so the top washer does not vibrate off.
