If the Samsung's feet will line up with the "cups" on top of the pedestal, you will still have to permanently depress the cutoff switch on top of the pedestal. There is also the issue of securing it to the pedestal so your frontload washer doesn't walk off the pedestal during spin cycles. I ran the washer 1 time before running the screws in the mounts and it was scary, had to stop the spin cycle before a $1k washer hit the floor. If you can figure all that out, no reason you can't do it. If it doesn't work out, box it up & return it. Remember your frontload washer is a 2 person lift. I have the 5.2cu ft LG washer and I must say, my 10yr old Samsung washed the clothes better. I went all in with 2 pedestal washers. I just had to buy the special "feet" for the dryer separately.
