Hello PTomoney. Due to the way the tub in Front Load Washers is designed, the door seal is much tighter which is why the door seal should be wiped dry after each wash to prevent mold and mildew that will lead to musty odors. The door for the LG SIGNATURE 5.8 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Front-Load Smart Wi-Fi Washer with TurboWash and Steam - Premium Black Stainless Steel, Model # WM9500HKA and the inside of the door seal should be wiped to remove any moisture. You should also run the Tub Clean cycle once a month, or more often if needed, to remove detergent buildup and other residue. Some environmental and usage conditions can cause a residue to build up in the drum over time and can lead to a mildewy or musty smell.
