Hello Anonymous, thanks for your interest in the LG 3D, Smart, Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player. Not all content streams at the same rate because movies, audio files etc., are not all the same size. When Netflix streams content to you, your router's speed will have a lot to do with the quality of the movie and with the quality of the audio portion being streamed. I am not sure I understand your statement when you say "although if you try Netflix first DVD will lose sound." Are you talking about a DVD or streaming a movie from NetFlix? Generally, if you look at the size of the file to be streamed, you will notice that they are all different. If your router is inadequate, you'll have issues with larger files being streamed properly. That's why some movies stream okay and others do not. IFV
