It's likely the machine has died on you. It happens. I had a great 5 disc DVD player for maybe 5 years and loved it... but just stopped working. It was time for me to move to BluRay anyway. You should still be able to use Netflix and/or USB movies on this though. You could try a DVD cleaner though as a last option to clean the laser. About $10-15 at BestBuy.
