• Yes, you can use either one of the ice trays both at the same time or neither at all. The only way to make this function work is to download the app and connect your refrigerator to your home Wi-Fi.

However, you cannot turn off one of the ice trays to make room for freezer items. The refrigerator is designed to use all four types of ice, and there is no way to deactivate a specific ice tray for more space.
