• This dryer is configured to vent to the rear. It can also vent to the bottom or side. ^CP

• Yes. Once you go in the wall, the shorter and straighter the vent ducting, the better (for cleaning). Also avoid vertical runs and sharp angles (very difficult to clean and promote buildup of lint, a fire hazard).
