“I need to install a recessed vent box so I can get this as close to the wall as possible. My fear is that there is a stud where the vent exits the dryer based on the pictures I've found....How far from the bottom and sides is the center vent?”

Regrettably, neither the specifications not the owner's manual for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity SteamDryer™ w/ NFC Tag On (Gas), Model # DLGX3371W give any measurements for the location of the vent exhaust. The exhaust vent is in the middle in the back of the dryer about 2 inches from the bottom. The third image on the company site shows the back of the dryer while it is mounted on a pedestal and will give you a better visual guide on its location...^IFV
