No issues here player works great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ok so apparently I might have just had a bad player. I went through the ringer with LG Customer Service trying everything imaginable. Their solution... return the player. They didn't even advise if it was something defective, or with the TV, or they needed to look into a software update, etc. I was disappointed in their lack of solutions. I mean, can't they test the player out with tons of different TVs of theirs to figure out the solution? Their response was that until it's reported from a lot of different customers they won't dive into it further. So on a whim I figured I'd buy another one, same make and model, because I really like and want this player bad. I figure it had a 10% chance of working but low and behold it does! So all is good now I guess. I tried it with both a UHD 4K disc, a regular blu-ray and an older DVD and they all work. The only thing I don't get is how you know if you are getting Dolby Vision. Does the disc need to have dolby vision on it? Before I got this one I tried a cheapy Phillips player that I ended up returning but at least that one would show Dolby Vision on the screen when I put in a UHD 4K disc.
