No, you cannot add external speakers to this unit. ^Daphane

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no 4K Blu-ray player. Or any dvd play. That I have ever known. That you can hookup speakers to. For one. That’s how they can keep all the technology to playing the 4K discs. However the player has the ability to decode the multiple channels from a 4K or dvd Disc to be sent to a home theatre system. Through fiber optic cable, or an hdmi cable. (I personally prefer optical) A system you most likely will own in near future. The advantage of that. Is you can create your own movie theater. The popcorn is cheaper. Find yourself a home theater system. They are becoming more affordable. And you can hook up many speakers to that. Including a subwoofer. That will drive chest thumping bass. And drive your neighbors crazy. (Ha) Enjoy! Movie lover.
