“Is this device not compatible with UHD Samsung monitors (U28E510D specifically)? When I connect my computer its shows 3840x2160 but when playing a 4k disc on this player, it shows 1920x1080 only. I have updated software, checked disc, etc., any tips?”

check the HDMi cables pass 4K. My five year old cables did not
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a similar issue with my Samsung TV. Although Samsung doesn't explicitly tell you this, on some of their models the UHD doesn't come already on. You have to go to Settings, External Devices, then in there you have to turn the UHD on by HDMI input. Not sure if that is your issue here but that's what I found out for mine. Good luck!
