I cannot confirm the Samsung 3-D glasses will work with the LG TV. LGTVs no longer support 3-D technology LG's webOS platform does not supported by HBO Max. However, we are continually working to add the latest streaming applications, such as HBO, but cannot provide a concrete timeline at this time. In the meantime, our webOS platform offers over 600 apps including streaming content and games - including over 180 free streaming channels via the LG Channels app. Also, you can access much of the HBO content through the Amazon Prime, YouTube TV or Apple TV+ apps that are available on our platform. No updates at all to firmware or apps, so it only supports YouTube and Netflix, regardless of what it implies on the box. The 3-D functions just send the signal to the TV, using whatever 3-D glasses would normally work with your 3-D TV.
