QuestionI purchased a competing product (Sony) and it would do everything to my liking EXCEPT stream a youtube movie that I paid for. Out of the box this shouldn't be not when my old Blu Ray player does it fine. What does this player do? Everything I hope.

- Answer I recently bought a Sony Blu Ray player and for some DVD's the selection pointer for the menus would not appear and so I could not watch any programs on them. It was replaced with LG unit and since then I have not had any problems, but I do not stream via the unit.

- Answer Yes it connects to the internet through wifi. It has built in apps for YouTube and Netflix. It would be better to use a fire stick or something of that nature for apps like that. This player is best for playing 4k disc and that’s about it.

If you have HDMI2 AUDIO ONLY on the LG Streaming HD Hi-Res Audio Wi-Fi Built-In 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Dolby Vision®, Model # UBK90 connected to your A/V receiver, check to make sure that you have the input source on your A/V receiver set to the HDMI port that you have the Blu-ray Player connected to. Check to make sure that the HDMI port on your receiver is not an HDMI ARC port because for the HDMI ARC functionality to work, both HDMI ports on the A/V receiver and on the Blu-ray player must support HDMI ARC functionality. The Blu-ray Player does not feature an HDMI ARC port. If your A/V receiver has an Optical Digital Audio Input, try connecting that to the Optical Digital Audio Out on the Blu-ray player to see if you get sound...^IFV

- Answer The LG 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Dolby Vision®, Model # UBK90 is not a region free player, but for whatever reason, manufacturers have decided not to code 4K discs by region. In other words, if you have a 4K movie title, it should play in any 4K player, regardless of what country the disc came from. However, this is only true for 4K discs. The player still has region coding for Blu-ray discs and DVD discs...^IFV

Essentially, they're region free and can be played on any 4K UHD Player in any part of the world. This is only true for 4K UHD Blu-ray Discs, the UBK90 still observes the regional restrictions DVDs and standard Blu-ray that continue to exist...^IFV
