“Regarding the LG Blu Ray Streaming player I would like to be able to just look at DVD’s. Why is it asking for a LAN cable? I don’t need the internet to watch DVD’s. Not interested in streaming.”

• Ignore the setup and jump to play disk >>>That's why DVDs players are still the best ,they don't need internet updates , and DVDs are the most available media worldwide, thousands of movies to watch. HAPPY MOVIE NIGHTS

• The LAN cable is for the streaming feature. You do not have to connect it and it can be skipped in the setup. ^Daphane

• I too only want to "WATCH" dvds. I plugged in HDMI cable(back of dvd player/my tv) and I am enjoying my movies. No internet involved.

• Simply skip that part of the setup. It'll play discs all day long without it.
