• Hello Dbray. The LG Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Streaming Services, Model # BP175 does not run on batteries at all. The DC IN 12V port in the back is for plugging in the AC/DC Adapter that comes with the player that has an input voltage of 100-120 V~, 50-60 Hz, 0.5 A Max. and converts that to a DV voltage of 12V, 1A that it outputs to the BP175...^IFV
