Check online with a google search for unlocking or changing regions. I bought a Blu Ray player in the US and took it to the Middle East. It couldn't play DVDs or Blu Ray coded for that region. Looking online I found a way to change the player's coding to universal. It involves powering down and restarting with some button pushes. Takes you into a menu where you can change region coding.
