• The remote does not have any backlighting. There is a green LED on the front on the unit to indicate power is on/off. ^Daphane

• It doesn't have a light that comes on at night, or one that stays on all the time. You have to turn it on to have a light come on

• When I pressed the power button on my player, a light does come on. It stayed on until I hit the power button again.
