“This is a very basic question but I am confused. Does this and other players that say DVD/Blu-Ray, play both older DVD's and Blu-Rays? I would like a unit that plays both. Thank you”

• Yes, the BP175 is able to play both DVD and Blu-ray discs. ^CP

• This one does. It seems Blu-ray will play DVDs but not the other way around.

• Yes. Which is one reason why I got this one. I wanted to be able to play my older DVDS I already have as well as new blu rays I plan on purchasing.
