• Short answer, yes. If you’re having Best Buy install the dishwasher, you must purchase the installation kit or they will not install the dishwasher. The one available at Best Buy for purchase is about 35 bucks or so and works fine.

• In my opinion, going with 100% new is the way to go. Get that installation kit. The cost is nominal. Just go with the one that Best Buy recommends. Enjoy that dishwasher. It is fabulous...especially, compared to our old Fridgidaire.
