Hello there. We thank you for reaching out. The Self Cleaning feature takes more time but can be used to remove heavy both of soils that are difficult to clean such as sugar based soils. LG's Self-Clean cycle gives you the ability to thoroughly clean your oven cavity keeping your oven looking shiny and new. For heavy built-up soils, especially in those hard-to-reach areas are for a thorough cleaning every 6 months. Self-Clean uses high temperatures during a 3 to 5 hour cycle to burn the soils to ashes. `Jai.
