yes, the UNLOCKED version has 3gb of ram. the phone works with many different carriers. you can purchase the phone for less if you purchase it for a specific carrier, but most of those phones have 2gb of ram. not sure about the sim card. call the carrier you want to use. if it's verizon, you must use their card, which is free.

Please try again later.Phone itself is compatible only with AT&T and T-Mobile customers and their affiliated companies like Simple Mobile, AT&T Prepaid, Metro by T-Mobile, etc.. Will not work with Sprint. Also this model has 32 GB storage / 3 GB RAM. The only other factor that should be expressed is that this model doesn't have Band 71 which is a new type of technology for better building reception for Metro by T-Mobile & T-Mobile Users respectively.
