A fantastic phone for the price!:)
||Posted .I bought this phone just out of curiosity because I like LG and I also liked the size of this phone and wanted to try the stylus. After a week of using it I decided to keep it and sell my Samsung S 8, which I used before. This phone is way better than the 300$ it costs! Of course there are compromises, but this phone has and does everything an average user needs for daily communication. I have no problem making & recieving calls, texting, browsing the web, answering emails and usind social media. All the apps I need work too. I must say, I am not a gamer, so I don´t need a powerful phone in this sense. The screen is bright enough and is not pixilated or cheap at all. Of course it is not a Samsung screen, but now I find Samsung pallete a bit saturated. The phone is very well built! Not flimsy at all and feels very comfortable in the hand and in both of my hands when I am texting. The metal frame makes it look and feel more premium than it is and the bezel is very narrow and makes the screen huge! The only thing, which I would improve is the back cover. It is made of plastic, so it is a finger prints magnet. However, people are complaingn about easy scratching, and I don´t have a single scratch after using the phone for a week without a case. The stylus is not a Samsung pen, it is very simple, but it does the job. I love taking quick notes on the go. The stylus never falls out and is easy to take out when needed. The finger print sensor is on the back and works flawlessly, I had it on my Samsung S8 and it never worked since I couldn´t put my finger on it correctly. I was very surprised when I was able to use the finger print unlock and password feature on this LG without a problem and I never miss the spot on the back cover of the phone. This phone even has a led light indicator (only one collor, red, but still) - a feature, which midrange phones usually don´t have. The camera is ok, but I must admit that nothing can beat the quality of Samsung cameras. It will do for selfies and any other everyday pictures, but not for anything fancy. The phone is slower than Samsung, but there is a trick to it: you have to switch to the developer mode and change the animation speed. It is 100% safe for the phone and it works. Just youtube ¨how to make Android phone work faster?¨. Once again, it was a big/great surprise for me and I am gladly keeping the phone. If you are an average user with no special requests for a super speedy or shinny phone, this one is for you, and for 500$ less then a premium phone with a 6.2 inches screen.

Large Display + Low Price + Unlocked = Good Value
||Posted .I am a die-hard Android and Samsung fan. My carrier is Total Wireless, which operates on Verizon's network. I am coming from a tired Note 4 to this (Unlocked) LG Stylo 4 by way of an unlocked Moto G6 that I only had for a few days. The display on the G6 just wasn't large enough for me, and I had trouble hearing the caller even with the volume wide open. I am hearing impaired so that may not be an issue for most unless you are in a noisy environment. So, I took the Moto G6 back to Best Buy and painlessly exchanged it for the Stylo 4. Even though the Note 4 is faster on paper, I honestly can't tell any difference in the processor speed between the Note 4 and the Stylo 4 (or the Moto G6). This may be due to all the bloatware dragging the Note 4 down. This could not be removed from the Note 4, which was originally a Verizon phone. I didn't see any apps I would consider bloatware on the Unlocked Stylo 4. Battery life seems better on the Stylo 4 as well, but then the display resolution is not as high. I love the USB type C connector. Do I miss the Note 4? Only when snapping photos, because the camera on the Stylo 4 is just mediocre and the Note 4 had an outstanding camera. I hope I never miss the Gorilla Glass on the Note 4 either. There have been plenty of times that it was dropped and I just knew it would be broken when I picked it up. Only time will tell whether the glass on the Stylo 4 will hold up that well. I note no difference in cellular reception or data over WiFi. This is my first LG Smartphone and I may just be a convert. If you are on a budget you will ultimately have to decide what trade-offs are acceptable, since everything in life involves some degree of compromise. I couldn't see paying double or triple for flagship phone that has only a slightly better display and a better camera. I doubt you can find a phone with this size display, speed and features for even twice the price. I know I couldn't and I looked everywhere.

Surprisingly well made phone.
||Posted .I've owned the LG G2, G3, V10 & V20, so I am very familiar with LG phones. I thought I was never going to buy another LG phone after my V10 and V20 boot looped. I wanted an inexpensive phone with a 6 inch display, an SD card slot and a slim profile. Well, I found it, and it happens to be another LG. The display isn't AMOLED, but it gets the job done very well. I added an 256 GB Micro SD for additional storage as well. Bluetooth, wireless and GPS work great. The camera is not great, but good. You're not going to get an LG G7 camera on a $300 dollar phone. The pictures I have taken so far look good. There is no NFC on this model, but I never used it on previous LG phones, so this wasn't a problem for me, though it may be for others. I've haven't experienced any lag. I get 2 days of battery life with normal use and a little over a day with heavy use. Not bad. Overall, if you're tired of paying $500 and up for a cell phone, this phone is an excellent choice. There's very little bloatware as well. I use this phone with AT&T prepaid service and I've had no issues with reception.

Outstanding phone. Great value.
||Posted .This phone is outstanding and also a great value. It is only $199.99 ($100.00 off of the list price), and in my learned opinion, there is nothing in this price range that comes close. Even for twice Best Buy's discounted price! It is worth noting that the bezel is metal, not plastic. - Display: 6.2" FHD+ FullVision™ TFT 2160 × 1080 (390 ppi density) - OS: Android™ 8.1 (Oreo); LG UX 7 - CPU: Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 - Chipset: Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 (14 nm) - GPU: Adreno 506 - Internal Memory: 32 GB (21.38 GB available) - 3 GB RAM - External Memory: MicroSD card (sold separately), up to 2 TB (not included) - Battery Capacity: 3,300mAh Lithium Polymer, Talk Time: Up to 14 hours - 13MP PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), Single LED Flash Rear Camera, Video 2 MP, @ 30 FPS - Front Camera Wide 5 MP with Auto Shot, Resolution: 2560 x 1920 pixels, Video 2 MP, @ 30 FPS - Resolution: 4160 x 3120 pixels, Digital Zoom: 4x - 2G, 3G, 4G and 4G LTE Capable - Bluetooth® Version 4.2 - Wi-Fi® 802.11a/b/g/n/ac - Bluetooth® & USB Tethering - USB Type-C™ with Fast Charging, Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 2.0 and 3.0 - Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass - Stylus pen with customizable settings - No network carrier bloatware - Compatible with major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. In business, as in life, the key is Return On Investment. There certainly are phones with more. Is the Samsung Galaxy Note 9+, or LG's own V40 worth the extra $700 ~ $800 sky-high price tag? Perhaps, if you are 1/10th of 1 percent of the population, needing bleeding-edge technology, and you have money burning a hole in your pocket. For the vast majority of people, the LG Stylo 4 is more than sufficient to do what is needed and much more... I purchased this phone less than 1 week ago, and at my recommendation, a close personal friend has purchased one as a result.

Q: QuestionI see it states it works with tracphone but does that include straight talk which is owned by tracphone?
Asked by Willm.
- A:Answer Yes, this phone is unlocked and will work with any carrier that uses Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile towers. That includes Straight Talk (Which uses a variety of carriers depending on the sim card you have). Really any Straight Talk sim will work. This phone also works with Total Wireless, H2O, Cricket, Simple Mobile, and more.

Q: QuestionDoes the phone have GSM for AT&T and what happens if you don't have the n f c what is the NFC used for
Asked by bb.
- A:Answer This phone is compatible with major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Also compatible with prepaid carriers, such as Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Simple Mobile, Total Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, Mint, and H2O. The NFC standard has three modes of operation: the peer-to-peer mode that lets two smartphones swap data, a read/write mode in which one active device picks up info from a passive one, and card emulation, in which an NFC device such as a smartphone can be used like a contactless credit card. The Stylo 4 Unlocked does not have NFC capability. ^CP

Q: QuestionWhat is the diferent , boost mobil locked stylo 4 and, unlocked stylo 4 because is diferent price
Asked by Lbm.
- A:Answer The LG Factory builds several variations of the LG Stylo 4 Cell Phone. In the case of the Boost Mobile Stylo 4 Cell Phone, the phone is built to meet the specific requirements of Boost Mobile, meaning there are features/functions not needed (reduced cost) in the Boost Mobile Stylo 4 configuration. This is good, a less expensive Cell Phone, if you are committed to Boost Mobile as your network provider. However, if at some time in the future you decide to unlock this Boost Mobile Cell Phone, it will not work with some of the other Network Providers (some will some won’t). There would also be some pre-installed Apps (for Boost Mobile) that you would not be able to remove (Bloteware). This situation would apply to all Cell Phones that are configured for a specific merchant (some features/functions are not needed/installed, reduced cost). For example; A couple of the merchant specific Stylo 4 units are configured with the NFC function but lack the CDMA function (not needed for that phone's configuration). The Factory Unlocked Stylo 4 does not have the NFC function, but does have the CDMA function. Most of the LG Stylo 4 merchant specific phones are configured with 2GB of Ram, the Unlocked Factory version is configured with 3GB of Ram. So… the factory unlocked version of the Stylo 4 has more features/functions (additional cost) to make the Factory Unlocked model compatible with “almost” all Network Providers worldwide. More features and function, more cost.

Q: QuestionDoes the LG-Stylo 4 feature NFC functionality?
Asked by VioletVixen.
- A:Answer Currently LG manufactures 28 different versions of the Stylo 4 Cell Phone. These different models are, for the most part, configured for Network Providers, like AT& T, Boost, Metro, Virgin Mobile, etc. Two of these models Q710TS (T-Mobile) and Q710MS (MetroPCS) have the NFC feature. The Q710ULM (Unlocked) has 3 GB of RAM and no NFC. The other 25 models have other varying parameters and features, and for the most part being locked for a given Cell Phone Company (AT&T, Boost, etc). The Stylo 4 that Best Buy is currently selling is the Unlocked model, with no NFC, but it does have the larger 3 GB of RAM.
