• I think it is :( in order for people to hear me I have to have the side piece all the way up to my mouth

• I never had that issue. Try turning up volume on phone

• It isn't you have to turn your phone up or the headset. In fact, it can be too loud. Very nice sound with Samsung phone.

• No, not a factory problem just an earbud problem. You are absolutely right. Poor sound quality.
