Gary you may just gave a defective item. I have had mine over a year now. I strictly use them for conference calls n they are awesome. I have had zero trouble. I would try n receive a new one n retry.

It’s something with the headset which is why I always get the Best Buy warranty on them so when it goes out you can just return them and get a brand new one and they refund the warranty and you can just put the money back towards a new warranty. Totally worth it.
