• Yes there are a number of free apps you can get at the play store that will not only read you the text but allow you to send one as well. all hands free

• you can download the LG BT Reader application (Google Play Store) for Android based devices. - when you pair the HBS-750 with your phone, the BT Reader is turned on. - the headset will read the incoming text to you (i think it announces who sent the text). - if you have a voice app on your device you can also make calls and transcribe to send text messages to your contacts.

• It does give out text notification its just sound so it would have to be in your ear to hear it.

• On Android, if you download LG Reader, it can read your SMS messages or you can set it up with an alert tone. I don't know how this is done on an iPhone.

• Down load the BT English App from the Google play store then u will be able to here text in u r ear
