“I purchased this 11/2021. It's worked well. Today it started having an after-image effect with vertically oriented lines showing old images faintly underneath. I've tested it on several devices. I've reset it. The effect persists. How to fix it!?!?”

Hi, please try this steps Turn off Display. Try turning off your display for at least a few hours, or as many as 48, ideally. Use a White Screensaver. Try setting your screensaver to a pure white image and leaving it to run for a few hours.
