Hi Jason. The "N" in the model number for the LG 27'' UltraGear™ QHD Nano IPS 1ms 144Hz G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor, Model # 27GN850-B identifies its year of development as 2020 and the "L" in the model number for the LG 27GL850 27'' UltraGear™ Nano IPS 1ms Gaming Monitor with G-Sync® Compatibility identifies it as a 2019 model. The differences between the monitors is that the 2020 model does not have the USB Up-Stream (ver 3.0) and 2 x USB Down-Stream (ver 3.0) ports...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.L is 2019 model N is 2020. Last years model had a usb hub on the back, this years does not. This years is $50 cheaper because of that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I have read: the panels used are the same. But the GN850 lacks the USB hub. The GN850 is the 2020 model, while the GL850 is the 2019.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gn is the newer version. GL has the USB ports in the back while the GN doesn't. I just got this not too long ago and love it. If USB is not an issue get this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There haven't been any formal tests of the display in terms of true input lag, response time, etc., but it looks like this monitor lacks the USB ports that comes on the GL850-B. You can search online for this model number and find the LG-provided specifications sheet on this exact monitor. Hope this helps! (I just ordered one to try out myself.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does not have a USB hub and it has a different stand.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
