A:Answer G-Sync Ultimate is a specification standard for Nvidia proprietary VRR. Some people like myself need a guarantee that my 1200.00 RTX 4080 can support Dolby vision at 120 Hz. You'll find that particulary spec is almost non-existent almost everywhere you look. This does the community and Nvidia a horrible disservice. There is so much sales ploy, convolution, misinformation, etc online that there is no identifiable mid-range or common identification as to which monitors will support all your GPUs power. The G-Sync Ultimate is a pure marketing strategy to separate TVs and monitors—which leaves the customers always having to spend more (as much or more than their GPU—makes sense Nvidia). Otherwise there would be no passive chicanory an Nvidias part in regard to having two standards of G-sync. It's... horribly dishonest. Pay 1000 more so you can be sure to have dolby vision gaming at 120 Hz otherwise play our silicon lottery, yay!!" Winner, winner!
