Hi, The PS5 comes with an HDMI 2.1 output port and the LG 38GL950 comes with HDMI 2.0. Theoretically then, you could connect the monitor to the PS5 but you would miss out on some functionality since the HDMI is an earlier version on the monitor. However, be aware that the PS5 is designed to be connected to a TV and not a monitor. Sony intended the PS5 to be used with a TV only. Also, the games on the PS5 do not support the Ultra wide format. There are still many games on the PC side that also do not support the Ultra wide format, although this is changing. My advice is to connect the PS5 to a TV. However, if you want to try to use a monitor, I would then recommend you do not use Ultra wide and to contact Sony support to see what gaming monitors that they have seen work successfully with the PS5.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This monitor offers a maximum resolution of 3840 x 1600 @ 85 Hz. The recommended resolution is 3840 x 1600 @ 60 Hz. This monitor does not have HDMI 2.1 and will not support 4K@120Hz. ^Daphane
