I think its cheap because it does not connect to WiFi. You must use an ethernet cable to connect to the Internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The price of 4k players is starting to come down drastically. You will notice every online retailer is starting to discount them. Most of the ones that were $250-300 6 months ago are now $100 or less. (I've been watching the prices since last August when I bought a 4k TV.) The only reason is that they are becoming more popular, so they can make more money selling at higher volumes. Also there's a lot more competition in the market, so companies have to compete with each other for lower prices. This is going to be a downward trend until they are about the same price as regular Blu-ray players. I doubt there is any issue with them, considering how high ratings are on most of them online. Plus they at least have a 1 year warranty. And you can buy additional 2- or 4-year protection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as the 3D, yes if you are watching a 3D movie. The player is priced the way it is because 4K BDR players are coming down in price just like the cost of actual BDRs. I have found no downside.
