Unfortunately, as with the vast majority of Blu-ray players, and DVD players they are still built with region codes embedded. If you want one to play region 2 then you have to buy a region 2 player. But then you would be unable to play region 1 discs. It is extremely rare to find a place that has built one or modified it to be region-less, but those may be out there. You will not find one from the regular manufacturer.
